Our Commitment

Fortify Home Services Inc. is committed to meeting the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We believe everyone should be able to access our website and services regardless of ability.

We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website. In doing so, we strive to adhere to the available standards and guidelines set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Government of Ontario.

Measures We Take

To ensure accessibility on our website, we have implemented the following measures:

• All images include descriptive alt text for screen reader users
• Our forms are fully keyboard-navigable with visible focus indicators
• All interactive elements have sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1)
• Page structure uses semantic HTML5 elements (header, nav, main, section, footer)
• Heading hierarchy follows a logical order for screen reader navigation
• All buttons and links have descriptive labels and aria attributes where needed
• We avoid content that flashes more than 3 times per second
• Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality
• We do not rely on color alone to convey information

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations:

• Some third party embedded content (such as payment processors or maps) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We do not control the accessibility of third party content.
• PDF documents generated from our agreement page may have limited screen reader compatibility. We provide a web-based version of all agreements as an accessible alternative.
• Older browser versions may not fully support all accessibility features. We recommend using the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge for the best experience.

Accessibility Plan

Fortify Canada is committed to ongoing accessibility improvements. Our current accessibility plan includes:

• Integration of accessibility considerations into our design and development workflow
• Regular review of third party tools and services for accessibility compliance
